About

We set up the playroom to look as attractive and as inviting as possible. Activity areas are clearly defined and there is a safe area set aside for babies in order to prevent their being trampled on by the toddlers! Activities are differentiated to suit the needs of the youngest children to those who are near to school age. For example, the water play area has a high and low level, the low level being a baby bath which is frequently used as such by the babies who enjoy splashing in it.

Outings and special sessions are always enjoyed by us all.
Mums have fun with their children.
No matter the time of year we spend as much time outside as possible.
Summer Autumn Winter Spring Hanging up our own bird feeders and ..........any time!
Parents have the opportunity to try new experiences too. We have a small room next to the big hall where parents can have their own time while volunteers look after their children. Since 2016
   Children's Development Profiles

We are developing a way of encouraging parents to recognise their child's achievements and help their child to achieve their "next steps". Initially parents are shown how to use the Group camera and use our Selphy Printer to download and print their child's photographs as they reach new development stages. Each child has an individual file and parents are helped to annotate each photograph. Parents now help each other to achieve this. The Development files can be taken home by parents and used to show other agencies how their child is developing
Parent Comment
"It's great to find out how to help "Jo" develop. Everyone helps and you don't need to worry about not being good at writing."
